Featured Project: CuteZzz
CuteZzz was a project that we completed about six months ago. It is a perfect example of a custom designed WordPress theme website. The idea was a simple one that was inspired by our young son and his love of watching YouTube videos featuring animals. Once we had an idea of what we were looking for we set out to pick the perfect domain name, I think we hit the nail on the head with CuteZzz.com.

Final Result for Cutezzz.com
Once the domain name was chosen we set to work on color scheme, design, and layout. William and I work together really well on the design front and; for the most part, agree on general ideas. The arguments only come when working on specific elements. We knew; for instance, that we loved the brown and blue colors together, the trouble was choosing which brown and blue to use. Once that was hammered out, we chose fonts, adorable social networking icons, and customized WordPress addons to work for what we wanted.
The end product was perfect and adorable, exactly what we had imagined. The process of developing and designing a site doesn’t end there. I then took over with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) efforts and worked on link building for our blogroll. This involved some time and a lot of research to determine what our keywords were as well as making personal connections with other similar blogs. I am a huge believer in forging actual personal connections when building a website, and blogs in particular. Cross promotion between your site and other similar sites can drive a lot of traffic and interest your way.
CuteZzz.com is one of our many sites that we’ve done for ourselves, to fulfill our need to publish online what we love in our personal lives, and it is a great example of a relatively simple site that doesn’t look or feel amateurish. I would recommend a site like this for small businesses that do not intend on E-Commerce and want to be able to easily self-manage the end product.
